Butter Paneer Masala
An Indian dish with paneer (Indian fresh cheese) in a creamy tomato-cashew sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 Bay leaves
- 3 el Butter
- 3 cardamom pods
- 60 g Cashew nuts
- 1 el chili powder
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 Cloves
- 3 el cream
- 1 el Garam Masala
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 cm Ginger
- 1 onion
- 200 g Paneer
- 100 g peas
- 200 ml puréed tomatoes
- 1 el Salt
- 2 el Tomato paste
- 1 el Turmeric
- 200 ml water

Step 1
Soaking cashews

Chop the onions and sauté

Step 2
Press garlic into the pan with the onions. Grate ginger and sauté briefly as well. Then deglaze with the crushed tomatoes.

Add half of the cashews to the sauce.

Puree the sauce from the pan.

Melt butter in a pan with the spices and sauté briefly. Then add the puréed sauce and 200ml of water.

Let the sauce simmer and add spices

Cut the paneer into cubes and add it
